As I explained fully in this post, we’ll be periodically updating the PDF copy of the Outlook book Edition 4 that we sell on our website. Today we released the first of those updates. Anyone buying and downloading the PDF book starting now will get that updated copy. And anyone who bought the book before can download the latest copy at no charge; just go to the same link you used before (shown below; you may want to bookmark this):
https://www.michaellinenberger.com/PDF-TWC-ED4/
When you go there you’ll be asked to log in, so just use the same credentials you created when you first bought the book.
You can tell you are getting the newer book because the file name now has a 4.1 at the end.
The changes incorporated are relatively modest. A long list of typo corrections, some corrected links, and some Outlook feature corrections or feature additions were made. For an example of feature additions, the new Outlook 2013 feature that Microsoft released via software updates in November (that I wrote about here) is now documented in the book (page 41).
I expect we’ll be releasing updates like this several times a year, and we’ll announce them on this blog.

I BOUGHT THE HARDCOPY AT BARNES AND NOBLE. How can I get updates for the book?
See the “this post” link above about that. Below is that link again… read the comments and replies in that post. http://www.oneminutetodolist.com/blog/how-we-intend-to-update-our-outlook-book-4th-ed/
Bought the ebook today, great ideas for task management in Outlook. I’m using Outlook 2013. After activating the To-Do-Bar pane as described in the Quick Start chapter there is not much space left for the E-Mail-Preview pane. How do you handle this?
Andreas, in the book in Lesson 2, I mention moving the reading pane to the bottom rather than the right side. Or not using the reading pane at all (off). All those instructions in Lesson 2. Also, see recent blog on how to hide To-Do Bar for a moment to read mail in 2013: http://www.oneminutetodolist.com/blog/use-the-reading-view-buttons-in-outlook-2013-to-hideshow-to-do-bar/ Michael
Thank you for the link, Michael. Exactly what i was looking for. Another question: I have many recurring daily/weekly/monthly/yearly tasks. Some of them are critical, while others are more or less important. How do you handle such tasks in your system? And what about tasks that are critical but use many days or even weeks to be done?
